Riannon Westall is a Toronto, Canada-based health writer with a background in newsroom journalism, content marketing, and research. Her work has been featured in the Toronto Star, on CBC.ca, and on numerous blogs and websites. She is a regular contributor to the Ria Health blog.
Before receiving her diploma in media communications from Humber College in 2015, Riannon was already an active journalist and writer, working for both Emerge Magazine and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). In these positions, she worked as a fact-checker, editor, researcher, and interviewer. She also contributed feature stories to CBC’s online publication.
Riannon went on to work in the Toronto Star radio room, scanning for news stories, assisting with social media operations, and writing for both web and print. In 2015, she also began a freelance writing business, specializing in health-related content marketing.
