Trinette L. Radasa has a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from University of Texas at El Paso, and currently holds three nursing certifications: Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist (ACNS), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). At present, she is Director of the PMHNP-DNP program at the University of San Francisco, and a member of the Ria Health medical team.
Trinette has broad expertise in the nursing profession, with experience in both clinical practice and academic settings. She began her career as a Registered Nurse at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and has since held a number of Nurse Practitioner positions in that state, treating patients with a variety of medical and mental health disorders.
As an instructor, Trinette has been teaching nursing students since 2002, and has been an Assistant Professor since 2013. She has taught at both the graduate and undergraduate level, with course topics ranging from pharmacotherapeutics, to geriatric care and advanced pathophysiology.
Trinette is also a published medical researcher, investigating adolescent obesity, diabetes treatment, community health care workers, and the use of motivational interviewing, among other topics. She now serves on the editorial review board for the quarterly international journal, “Research and Theory for Nursing Practice.”
Trinette currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband. She has three married sons, four grandchildren, and one dog. During her free time, she enjoys traveling, and especially going on cruises.
