In a broad career, writing and editing have been common denominators for Bruce Hodges. He has crafted hundreds of proposals, podium remarks, press releases, direct mail appeals, and event timelines, as well as copy for online and print publications.
He has also contributed to The Juilliard Journal, Musical America and Seen & Heard International (London) among others, and Playbill for Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. He currently writes for The Strad (also London), and in his spare time, explores poetry and essays.
After study at Antioch College, he graduated from the University of North Texas with a BFA in drawing and painting. In New York, he directed major fundraising events for health organizations such as the American Skin Association and St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital, as well as the International Rescue Committee (refugee relief), where he worked with former U.S. Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright.
