Evan O’Donnell is a New York City-based writer and artist with a background in music management and marketing, education, and composition. He is currently a writer, editor, and marketing assistant for Ria Health.
As a writer, Evan got his start in an academic context, parsing scientific literature for clues on the inner workings of the human brain. His thesis bridged anthropology and cognitive science, examining music as a human behavior. He remains fascinated by psychology and behavioral health to this day.
Since then, Evan has twice conducted ethnographic research abroad, including on a yearlong post-bachelor’s Darmasiswa Scholarship through the Indonesian government. He has also continued writing throughout his musical career, producing his own web content and marketing materials for over a decade.
With experience in both academics and marketing, Evan is aware of the “information gap” that often exists between different audiences. He has become especially interested in the process of making complex ideas accessible and easy to grasp. This fascination, in part, motivated him to begin freelance writing in 2018.
Evan brings his incisive research skills, independent work ethic, and clear communication style to his work for Ria Health.
