It’s True: Drunk People Don’t Know How Drunk They Are

Confirming what many people have known for some time, people who are drunk are unable to judge how impaired they are, and further, continue drinking, well past the stage of euphoria.

“People judged how drunk they were in relation to their peer group. If everyone around him was blackout drunk, an extremely inebriated person would consider himself relatively sober. But by the same token, a tipsy person with sober people was quite conscious of being loaded.”
